FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Is what I share in counselling confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is the first of our professional values. What you share stays between you and your counsellor, except where the law requires otherwise — for example, a serious risk of harm. Your counsellor will explain these limits at your first session.

Who are your counsellors registered with?

Tredela CMRC is registered by the Ministry of Health as a counselling facility, and our attending counsellors are registered with the Counselling and Psychologists Board.

What is the difference between mediation, court and arbitration?

In court a judge decides and someone wins or loses. In arbitration an arbitrator hands down a binding decision. In mediation the mediator never decides — they help the parties reach their own agreement, privately and informally.

Can a mediated agreement be registered in court?

Yes. Once a dispute is settled in private mediation, the parties may choose to register the agreement in a court of law so that it is respected now and in the future.

Do you offer group sessions?

Yes. We run clinical supervision groups for counselling professionals, and addiction and general groups for people facing similar challenges, including addiction group therapy supervision on Mondays and Saturdays.

Can sessions be held online?

Yes. Sessions can be held in person or online by a secure video link.

How do I pay?

By M-Pesa to our Buy Goods till number 4186156 (TREDELA COUNSELING).

Do you organise team building for organisations?

Yes. We plan corporate and personal team-building activities, boot camps, hikes and other outdoor activities, as well as seminars and workshops tailored to your team.
